Three Rivers Local School District
Middle School Cross Country Coach(Co-ed)
June 2012-Present
Job Description:
I instruct 7th and 8th graders on how to properly and competitively run in city wide cross country meets. Our weekly races are 2 mile runs through woods, fields, and trails. Everyday, whether it is practice after school, or a meet, I am responsible for the safety of fifteen kids. Not only do I have the privilege of working with young people, but with the collaboration of the Athletic Director, I am responsible for creating a 7-10 week meet schedule. Also, I communicate daily with parents and other coaches on updates about runners and results from previous races. My ability to quickly and effectively communicate via email and phone is essential to my success as a coach and a mentor to the kids.

Eighth Grade Boys Head Basketball Coach
June 2012-Present
Job Description:
Much like my cross country coaching job, I am responsible for instructing young people how to properly compete in a sport. Although the object is to win games, as a coach, I want to do more than that. Although they are just middle school kids, I believe that I can have a lasting effect on who they are becoming as young men. I hope my positive influence and my ability to win and lose honorably is more highly regarded than my record as a basketball coach. Again, during practice and games the boys are my responsibility and I must also effectively communicate to parents and other coaches on practice and game schedules while also collecting, organizing, and turning in paperwork.
